Location – Whitstable, Kent

Salary - £26,000 per annum

Have you got excellent hand-soldering skills?

Our client has a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of hardware for a variety of platforms and environments and is looking for an Electronic Assembly Technician to join their expanding and growing team.

Responsibilities

• Wiring and assembly of cable harnesses for test and finished product


• Assembly of electronic components to multilayer PCB assemblies


• Assisting with SMT processes


• Rework of electronic PCB assemblies and systems


• Mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and final assembly


• Inspection of work completed at various stages of manufacture


• Follow assembly instructions and record operations completed


• Develop job skills as appropriate for the work required


• Inspection of procured electronic and mechanical components and parts


• Opportunity to grow into the role of test and fault investigation


• Other duties as deemed reasonable

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 A Level in Maths, Physics, IT or Design Technology (or equivalent)


• Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade A* to C including Maths and English


• Familiar with IT and MS Office applications


• Knowledge and experience of IPC-A-610 preferred


• Excellent hand-soldering skills


• Previous SMT experience preferred but not essential
