Azenta Life Sciences are looking for�Assembly Operators to be based in Wotton, Surrey.� The role will cover Manufacturing, Assembly, calibration and testing of life science instruments. Including rework & manufacturing of sub assemblies.

Due to the rural site location own transport is essential.� Applicants must be flexible to undergo training at another Azenta site for a short period.

�Key responsibilities:

Working to a production schedule assembling, calibration and testing instruments as per defined works instructions.

Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.

Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.

Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

Completes works order documentation & transactions on ERP system,

Raises quality issues as required in accordance with Quality procedures.

What you will need

Experience working with electrical components including soldering.

Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, systems and following procedures required by the work.

Understands and applies most principles, theories, concepts, and techniques utilized in the discipline.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Good organisation and prioritisation skills
