Electro-mechanical Test Engineer - Birmingham - £(phone number removed) 

nGenium have partnered with an exciting technology business based in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to join this rapidly expanding company and to work on extremely interesting products.

About the Role:

This role is to support the engineering team, working collaboratively to produce test protocols, developing test rigs, and conducting trials to verify the work being undertaken by the engineering design team. You will be pivotal in validating electrical mechanical designs, and software, providing engineering information to support the systems development and manufacture, site installation and through life service support.

Key Work Activities:

Responsibilities which are multifaceted include for taking responsibility for assembling test rigs and executing test procedures to verify the electromechanical & software designs, ensuring new products comply with industry reg, stds and can be successfully certified for commercial release.

The Test engineering will also work with the manufacture team to diagnose faults and validate the first of a kind system. Proficient in assembling electromechanical test rigs, undertaking instrumented stage builds, carrying out maintenance procedures on test rigs. Strong communication and project management skills. Degree in engineering or a related field is desirable.

What credential are we ideally looking for:

Impressive track record and experience from working in or with a power system product supplier bring new innovations to market. Experience of working in a SME would be desirable, highly collaborative, able to support the execution of technology, familiar and a keen interest in areas of low carbon energy technology – services, must be numerate with a strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
