Job description

Due to an exciting period of growth, a position is available for an experienced electrician to join an award-winning renewables installations team. The position is offered on a full-time, permanent basis subject to a successful probationary period, an 8 hours per day working Monday - Friday 8.00 am - 4.30 pm, with periods of flexible start and finish times.

As a senior Electrician, will be tasked with installing, servicing and maintaining a variety of electrical installations and renewable energy systems, including solar PV arrays, storage batteries, heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points.

The ideal Electrician will perform well in a quick-paced, busy worksite environment, and adapt equally to working alone and as part of a collaborative team. Based out of Beverley, organisation and communication skills are vital to the role, whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship, customer satisfaction, self-motivation and health and safety, plus attention to detail paramount. A current UK driving license is required to fulfil this role.

Responsibilities & Duties

Install/replace/service electrical-based renewable energy systems
Diagnose electrical faults, aiming for a first-time fix
Working on projects locally and throughout the UK when required to do so
Electrical testing of new and existing installations.
Carrying out new installations in domestic and commercial environments
Single and Three phase installation work
Maintenance of a wide range of systems
Experience & Qualifications

NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification (or equivalent), 18th Edition
A full, clean UK Drivers Licence
A minimum of 5 years experience
Experience and a high level of competency in domestic and electrical Installation, with commercial experience advantageous
Experience in the renewable energy sector is preferred
IPAF License desirable
Asbestos awareness desirable
Expectations

Ensure good timekeeping standards are maintained and work to deadlines
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations are carried out
Respond to callouts on a rota system (when applicable)
Obtain high levels of self-motivation
Communicate effectively any issues that may affect customer satisfaction levels
Work effectively as a lone worker and within a team
Maintain good housekeeping standards.
Requirements

IT competent
Be able to pass a DBS check
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good communication skills in English
Knowledge of H&S practices, and can demonstrate working in a safe manner
Good concentration and being a methodical worker
Experience working in a busy environment
