This opportunity comes to market from a from a leading manufacturer of vehicles in the West Midlands. With ongoing investment in the development of next generation vehicles including a 100% electric vehicle solution, the business is committed to the development of innovative solutions and continues to grow year on year.



A leader in their sector with a large design and manufacturing presence here in the UK.� They are offering a varied role where you will work on the conceptual design and detailing of vehicle electrical systems and components across a range of New Vehicle Development projects. �Projects will include work on Electric and Hybrid Vehicles.



Responsibilities of this role will include:




  • Conceptual design and detailing of electrical systems and components for electric and hybrid vehicles

  • Design of electrical circuits and schematics using Zuken E3

  • Working closely with both suppliers and customers

  • Compiling Bills of Materials and Design Release Documentation

  • Advise on product testing activities and analyse test results

  • Problem solving as required to ensure successful designs that translate from concept into production.



To fulfil this role the client seeks a qualified electrical engineer with experience in the design of electrical systems and components including circuit, schematic and harness design. Experience with a CAD system such as Zuken, Vesys or Capital Harness is also key as are strong problem-solving skills and the ability to contribute to testing activities and DVP.



Knowledge of High Voltage electrical system design or Electric/Hybrid vehicle systems will be beneficial but is not essential.
