Job Description:





National Engineering Contractor with an enviable reputation and footprint of projects across the UK have a requirement for Site Managers to join their Scottish operations team on a permanent basis.



Projects are primarily in the Power/Energy sectors and will expose the successful Site Managers to a real variety of challenging work. There could potentially be some staying away from home involved but the organisation will attempt to limit this by recruiting Site Managers based in relevant geographical areas of Scotland.





Responsibilities include but are not limited to:






  • Set up site establishment.

  • Method statement and Risk Assessment preparation and review with sub-contractors.

  • Review construction drawings and sign off.

  • Assist Project team in expediting of major equipment deliveries.

  • Ensure that all variations are picked up in a timely fashion in conjunction with PM and QS.

  • Produce short term programmes in line with master programme.

  • Effectively manage sub-contractor supervision to enable efficient productivity.

  • Ensure tool box talks, inductions and safety briefings are being carried out.

  • Perform weekly EHS audits.

  • Plan and co-ordinate delivery of materials and plant.

  • Liaise with commissioning engineer in ensuring all systems are tested, demonstrated and handover.

  • Liaise with PM on site demobilisation, including plant, labour, materials and site establishment.







What you'll need to succeed:






  • Recognised Electrical apprenticeship / trade certificate.

  • 5+ years Site Management experience

  • Demonstrable experience in managing Electrical design & build projects.

  • A strong communicator with excellent verbal and writing proficiency.

  • Ability to lead presentations to larger audiences.

  • An organised and adaptable individual with a flexible approach to work.

  • Deep understanding of constructability of projects.

  • Strong Commercial awareness.

  • Capable of building strategic relationships with third party groups.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and build and manage a team.
