Electrical SAP Specialist
Role Context:
The Electrical SAP specialists will be supporting Worley on the Woodsmith Project which is being developed here in the North East of England. This project is re-imaging mining to improve people's lives and it is setting new standards for sustainable mining while helping to boost food production and sustainable farming practices. The role is a site-based position, located near Whitby.
You'll be:
·
Working on s
hifts covering days and nights on an 7/7 rotation
·
Liaising with contractors and team members to plan and schedule work required in the upkeep of the distribution network, this may include consultation with energy providers
·
Ensuring safe restoration of HV power supply in the event of power outages, conducting black start tests and where required due to scheduled site work.

Installing and maintaining electrical infrastructure including temporary systems as required by the project and in accordance with relevant regulations
·
Ensuring compliance with regulations, codes and rules, company instructions, RAMS and working instructions with regards to health and safety
·
Required to u
nderstand the environmental constraints of operating within the North York Moors National Park and operate the treatment plants in an environmentally responsible manner
·
Report any Health, Safety and Environmental observations, near misses, accidents or incidents to the Superintendent or Manager
You'll have:
·
NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance or equivalent recognized Electrical apprenticeship
·
Accredited High Voltage Authorised Person (SAP) Switching Course
·
·
A full UK driving license is required for this role
·
Knowledge of Electricity at Work regulations 1989 and relevant legislation pertaining to work undertaken.
·
BS7671 Wiring Regulations
·
Experience in PLC’s advantageous
·
A good understanding of process engineering specifically water treatment plants, oil purification and gas generators
·
Experience in installation, operation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, PLC’s and VFD’s)
·
Evidence of Safe Isolation of electrical systems both low and high voltage (up to 11kV)
·
Experience operating Switchgear, associated infrastructure and control systems
