Electrical Qualifying Supervisor for Industrial and Commercial Sites Salary: 45,000 - 50,000 per year, depending on experience Benefits: Holiday plus Bank Holidays, Pension Scheme, Excellent Progression Opportunities Location: Various Industrial Sites (Water, Heavy Engineering, Factories, etc.) Overview: Our client is looking to recruit an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor, to work on a diverse range of industrial and commercial projects. The projects span across various sectors, including heavy engineering, water treatment facilities, factories, and more. With a commitment to high-quality electrical inspection and testing, they pride themselves on a client-focused approach, servicing everything from commercial offices to specialised installations like industrial units.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the quality and standards of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR), ensuring all inspection and testing results are verified promptly to maintain project timelines and prevent electrical issues. Act as a primary contact for NICEIC accreditation matters, ensuring compliance and qualifications for the role of Qualifying Supervisor. Review subcontractor certifications and monitor the progress of extensive EICR programs, providing updates to the operations team. Foster and maintain strong relationships with engineers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
Solid understanding of wiring regulations and compliance standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of professional client interactions. Proficiency in using laptops for report creation, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with common certification software such as Shineforms and Easycert. Must have 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification. Qualified in 2391 OR 2394/2395 inspection and testing. A minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial and industrial EICRs. Structured electrical training, with a City and Guilds / BTEC electrical qualification Level 3 (preferred).
