Job Title: Electrical Project Manager



Location: North East and Glasgow

Position Overview: As an Electrical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of electrical engineering projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with talented professionals, and drive innovation in the field of electrical engineering.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Lead the planning and execution of electrical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, vendors, and clients, to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established milestones to identify and address any deviations or risks.

  • Manage procurement activities, including sourcing materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and project specifications.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including clients, project sponsors, and senior management, to provide updates, address concerns, and solicit feedback.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and value engineering to enhance project efficiency and profitability.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and progress reports, to facilitate project tracking and accountability.



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • Proven experience in project management within the electrical engineering or construction industry.

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards, with the ability to interpret and apply technical specifications and drawings.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate teams across multiple locations.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar platforms.

  • PMP certification or equivalent is preferred but not required.

  • Flexibility to travel between office locations and project sites in the North East and Glasgow, as needed.
