Randstad Engineering - Electrical Project Engineer
Randstad Engineering is currently recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer to work at the steelworks in Shotton (CH5). This is a permanent role paying up to £38,000 per annum.
What you will do:
The role of Electrical Project Engineer will proactively engage in the process of business expansion, process improvement, and development. Key responsibilities include:
Accountable for specific business and process-driven improvement projects within the area of expertise.
Act as lead engineer on process improvements and system enhancements for BSUK.
Support the day-to-day workload of the Project team to ensure AP targets of availability are met and exceeded.
Identify Operational Improvements to maximize availability at optimum cost, to good standards of workmanship, and in conformance with all Company standards and procedures.
Contribute to the determination and coordination of preventative maintenance programs to avoid unplanned downtime.
Deliver training to operators to facilitate optimum productivity.
Understand, deploy, and recommend improvements to production control procedures.
What you will need:
The Electrical Project Engineer will be qualified to a minimum HNC level in an appropriate Electrical engineering discipline and must have wide experience in works processes and control systems. Desired qualifications and skills include:
Experience in project management from small-scale improvements to systems/process plant equipment.
Ability to provide informative structured project plans to the management and operations team when necessary.
Demonstrate qualities of flexibility, initiative, drive, and commitment.
Ability to work safely under pressure and to tight timescales.
Excellent numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
The individual will be an integral part of the engineering function, closely working with the operations and Engineering team to deliver results and ensure production performance meets the required targets.
