We have an Engineering Manager role available within TATA Steel's Electrical Plant. This role is ideal for someone who would like to be part of the Plants senior engineering team and provide first level expertise.
Role: Electrical Plant Engineering Manager
Location: TATA Steel, Shotton Works, Shotton Records Centre, Deeside CH5 2NH
Rate: �53,346 to �64,016 per annum dependent upon experience
Shift Patterns: Mon-Fri, 07:00-15:00
Essential requirements:
Engineering degree or equivalent experience
Hold or working towards chartered status with the IET
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Sound IT Literacy skills
Extensive Management experience with proven ability to deliver results
Good knowledge of regulatory requirements especially relating to Statutory and HSE
Ability to lead from the front and make confident decisions
Self motivation and drive to meet business objectives
Desirable requirements:
Driving licence and use of a car
Knowledge of strip processing lines
Knowledge of Asset Management Systems
Responsibilities:
Implementing continuous improvement plans to strive for world-class safety, and statutory standards within engineering
Managing and driving the safety performance of the team to achieve a zero-harm culture
Ensuring that the workforce understands and complies with all relevant engineering policies and statutory duties
Identifying and developing relationships with key external contract labour support services
Maintaining and improving positive engineering influences on plant OEE
Utilising Root Cause analysis tools and strategic maintenance processes
Ensuring planning and control of all aspects of downshift and shutdown engineering work as requested
Identifying and implementing design/development opportunities to improve plant reliability
Providing engineering support for the implementation of capital schemes within Manufacturing where required
Authorising, monitoring and controlling expenditure on Goods and Services within the annual maintenance budget
Ensuring compliance with Company Benchmark KPIs to achieve Annual Plan plant reliability, availability, spend and quality
Facilitating and leading development of all elements of the Company Asset Management Framework
Liaising with Site Development and Engineering as required to maintain team performance
Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve cost effectiveness via effective downshift planning and execution
Leading adoption of new technology and practices to continue the drive for World Class operations
Leading and managing the Engineering team to ensure standards are maintained and developed in line with company policy and standards
Ensuring personnel are properly trained and succession plans in place
