Opportunity Alert: Seeking an Electrical Manager for our European Electrical Engineering Operations Department based in the South-West of London.

Candidates with operations experience, or engineer in operations environments preferred

We're on the lookout for a skilled Electrical Manager to oversee all facets of electrical managerial duties within our operating plants. This pivotal role involves leading a team of electrical engineers and designers while serving as the Technical Authority for over 350 qualified electrical staff members.

As the Electrical Manager, you will:

  1. Lead the Electrical Support Team for European IG, managing:

    • Technical Authority for Electrical Engineering design, ensuring compliance with legal standards throughout delivery, installation, commissioning, and operation of Electrical Systems & Equipment
    • Technical and operational support for plant operations
    • Project management for Electrical Equipment Installations
    • Technical assistance to the Maintenance Department
    • Provision of electrical safety training and mentoring
    • Compliance oversight for EH&S and national HSE regulations
    • Consultancy for operational safety, reliability, and efficiency
    • Review and approval of engineering & design documents, protection/arc-flash studies, and fault level calculations
    • Guidance for all electrical operations activities
  2. Provide technical leadership and governance, supporting safe and economical plant operations, primarily across production facilities in Europe and beyond, including active projects in various regions.

  3. Contribute to the Global IG Electrical Community, offering insights into AP engineering standards, safety practices, and operational excellence initiatives.

As the Electrical Manager Production, you should possess:

  • An Electrical Engineering degree
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial gases, petrochemicals, or related industries
  • Proficiency in engineering and designing electrical equipment
  • Expertise in specifying test equipment for inspections and maintenance
  • Detailed technical understanding across various electrical systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in engineering phases from construction to maintenance
  • Capacity for workload planning and scheduling
  • Skill in creating and updating electrical standards and company policies
  • Ability to manage internal and external interfaces effectively
