We are working with a leading producer of malted barley, who supply to distilleries and brewers throughout 4 countries at 7 malting sites. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of the facility.

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Portgordon, AB56 5BU

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (on-call rotation 1 in 3)

Salary: �39,000 - �43,000

  • Auto enrolment into the company pension scheme at minimum of 5% of pensionable salary. Company will match the contribution up to a maximum of 8%.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Problem-solving and quality assurance.
  • Electrical testing, fault finding, installation, and inspection.
  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on conveyors, slew rings, water pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, palletisers, chains, and elevator belts.
  • Basic mechanical repairs (motors, inverters).
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
  • Team collaboration and independent work.
  • Objective setting and strong organizational skills.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Demonstrable abilities in problem-solving and quality awareness
  • Expertise in electrical testing, fault finding, installation, and inspection.
  • Proficiency in basic mechanical repairs (motors, inverters)
  • Experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Recognized Apprenticeship/Engineering qualification (BTEC, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Competence with computer-based maintenance systems and Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with PLC systems
