We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Duties:

  • Previous experience in a similar field, ideally from a manufacturing environment
  • Recognised electrical qualification (apprentice trained, Level 3 or above)
  • Attend to machine breakdowns and solve/diagnose any electrical or mechanical failures
  • Provide Engineering cover to suit the demands of the business
  • A methodical mindset, with the ability to problem solve and adapt with short notice
  • Provide accurate information and regular progress updates as required by management
  • Maintain the site electrical plant and equipment to ensure that the production and waste budgets are met.
  • Carry out and complete preventative maintenance work orders as required.
  • Carry out and complete tasks from the fault reporting system as required.

Skills & Qualification:

  • Experience of industrial installations and control systems
  • The ability to fault find and test automated machinery
  • Knowledge of AC and DC drives and PLC's preferably Siemens S5 and S7
  • Experience in electronics and instrumentation would be advantageous
  • Effective communication skills
  • A good understanding of health and safety is essential
  • A recognised electrical trade qualification, including the latest IEE regulations
