Electrical Maintenance Engineer
  • Annual Salary: Circa �36,000 + overtime
  • Location: Kingswinford
  • Job Type: Full-time, shift rota (3 shifts rotation)

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our maintenance team, working alongside a Mechanical Fitter as part of a 2-man team on a 3-shift rota. The role involves carrying out preventative maintenance tasks, responding to plant breakdowns and repairs, and installation work. The successful candidate will ensure all tasks are completed safely and professionally, adhering to company protocols.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Perform installation work on factory and process machinery.
  • Fault find on various systems including 415v, 240v, 110v, and 24vac/dc.
  • Utilise CCT diagrams for fault finding and be involved in CCT design and control panel building.
  • Work with PLCs to establish necessary input/output.
  • Maintain and upgrade high bay lighting, test emergency lighting, and evacuation alarm systems.
  • Conduct general maintenance tasks as required by the business.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Completed Apprenticeship or time-served experience preferred.
  • 18th Edition IEE Regulations is preferred, but not essential.
  • NVQ level 3 or City and Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance or a relevant qualification.
  • Proof of certification required.
  • Experience in heavy industrial work, with knowledge of Slitting/Decoiling machines advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of DC drives/inverters.
  • Valid driving licence preferred.
  • Willingness to undergo a 3-month probationary period and trade tests.

Additional Information:
  • Shift patterns and hours are subject to change, with maintenance cover required 24/7.
  • Overtime may be required to cover holidays, absence, or emergency breakdowns.
  • Weekend work is expected following certain shifts, with a minimum of 1 Saturday in 3 required.
  • The company operates a zero-tolerance policy on Drugs & Alcohol, with testing conducted on the first day of employment and randomly thereafter.
