ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Double Days - Monday to Friday (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm)

Salary: £42,000

Location: Ashton-under-lyne (Greater Manchester)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large manufacturer in the Greater Manchester area, as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. The role involves working 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday.

You will be working as part of a team, completing planned and reactive maintenance across the site, with a heavy focus on continuous improvement and project work. Other duties include:

• Responsible for the design, installation, maintenance and repair of the LV single and three-phase power distribution system.
• Responsible for the effective maintenance and repair of the electrical controls / drives to plant, machinery and equipment
• Testing of both portable appliances and fixed wiring systems.
• Testing of machine electrics and safety devices.
• Installation of measuring and monitoring systems.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER:

• Apprentice trained
• Electrically biased
• Manufacturing background
• Electrically qualified (ideally with an 18th Edition)
• Must be able to fault find on PLC's
• Have worked on hydraulics, pneumatics, installation, hard wiring etc.
