Our client, a leading manufacturing client based in Newcastle, are looking to recruit a number of Electrical Machine Wiring Technicians to join the business on a permanent basis due to business growth.



The successful candidates will be responsible for preparation and termination of large cables, harnessing and general electrical assembly duties to produce a range of Subsea and Deck equipment.



Candidates will ideally be time served in an Electrical discipline with demonstrable experience in reading Electrical Schematics, panel wiring, soldering, crimping and terminating cabling. - Candidates not qualified with a clear history in similar work will be considered



Hours



Monday – Thursday – 6:30am to 3:00pm / Friday – 6:30am – 12:00pm



Any OT worked over 37.5 hours per week are paid at premium rates to boost earnings



Average of 10 - 15 hours per Week available - Realistic earnings of £40k+



Key Responsibilities:




  • Fit and terminate harnesses to machinery

  • Prepare, lay and install large cabling assemblies.

  • Perform limited troubleshooting and testing of assemblies

  • Ensures assembly/sub-assembly build times are met to maintain department efficiency target of 100%

  • Ensures assembly/sub assembly build times are met for major project schedule

  • Complete all necessary documentation according to the requirements, (including timesheets, ECN etc.)

  • Carry out job tasks safely using good working practices

  • Carry out all assembly work to the required department quality standards



Skills & Qualifications:




  • Ideally Time Served in an electrical discipline

  • A good understanding of electrical/electronic systems essential.

  • Strong technical skills in crimping/ terminating cables.

  • Control/Data systems and Fibre Optic handling/termination ( Advantageous)

  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and sketches
