SEEKING ELUSIVE ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

Our client is a Electrical design and installation company providing a broad range of high quality electrical solutions to the private and public sectors across a variety of commercial and industrial applications operating throughout the UK. Due to significant growth there is now a need for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their busy offices.

Their experience is far reaching and extensive and includes an eclectic mix of all commercial and industrial sectors including Retail and leisure, healthcare, industrial, commercial, accommodation and education up to the value of £6m. 

They are looking to recruit an Electrical Services Estimator to join the Pre-Construction team in Kent. 

The ideal candidate will have Electrical Estimating experience in commercial projects and be both technically and commercially astute. 

Reporting to the Directors, this role comprises but will not be limited to: 

Duties

• Timely and accurate submission of Electrical tenders. 


• Preparing Electrical tenders for internal adjudications. 


• Vetting incoming tenders/offers from our supply chain and ensuring that the most viable offer is included within our submission. 


• Arranging tender adjudication meetings and explaining to the attendees the project duration, costing approach and risks to the business. 


• Skills and Behaviours: 


• Commercially astute being able to identify and manage risk and to anticipate issues that may affect costs and address them proactively. 


• An eye for detail and proven ability to work to tight deadlines. 


• Proactive with the skills to assess better systems of work in order to advise and assist clients on systems that will save time and money. 


• Ability to take project ownership whilst under support of the project Director and work both on their own and as part of a wider multi-discipline team. 

Experience and Qualifications: 

• Must have been an electrician (commercial/industrial) before at some point 


• Must have a confident personality, willing to build relationships with clients, take them out for lunches etc


• Open to ‘lower level’ candidates – electricians or contracts managers with no estimating experience but have a bit of acumen about them and want to learn. Someone the company can mould. (Experienced candidates more than welcome!)

Package: 

• £60,000 - £70,000 per Annum (negotiable depending on experience)
