Electrical Estimator





Are you a skilled Electrical Estimator looking for a new opportunity in the construction industry? We have an exciting position available for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team.





The Role and Company



Working with a specialist contractor that predominantly installs and upgrades data center's and Commercial spaces. This successful regional contractor are seeking an Electrical Estimator to join their team. This role is open to both experienced and junior level applicants.





Key Responsibilities



As an Electrical Estimator, your key responsibilities will include:






  • Conducting thorough analysis of project specifications and requirements

  • Estimating labour, material, and equipment costs for electrical projects

  • Collaborating with project managers to develop accurate and competitive bids

  • Reviewing and interpreting project plans, drawings, and specifications

  • Identifying potential risks and providing recommendations for risk mitigation

  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in electrical estimating

  • Providing support and guidance to the project team during the bidding process

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

  • Ensuring compliance with project schedules and deadlines

  • Participating in project meetings and providing input on cost-saving measures





Key Requirements



We are ideally looking for the following experience and skills:






  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry

  • Knowledge of electrical systems and materials

  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings

  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating project costs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Proficient in using estimating software and tools

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential)
