My client is� a well-established medium-size electrical contracting company based in Northampton, specializing in a wide range of projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential developments. As we continue to grow and expand our portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team.



�As an Electrical Estimator at our company, you will play a pivotal role in our project management and cost estimation processes. You will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, materials, and labor costs for electrical installations across various sectors, with project values of up to �5 million. Your experience, attention to detail, and ability to provide accurate estimates will be crucial to the success of our projects.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Evaluate project requirements and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather necessary information.

  • Prepare and submit comprehensive bid proposals to potential clients.

  • Review and analyze subcontractor quotes and negotiate terms.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and pricing trends.

  • Participate in project kick-off meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimation to execution.



Requirements:




  • At least 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.

  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

  • A degree in electrical engineering or a related field is a plus.
