The company are hiring a key role and we're leading their search for an Electrical Engineering Manager. This company design, construct, operate and maintain solar and BESS assets.This Electrical Engineering Manager role comes with a salary of up to £80,000, a huge benefits package and genuine remote working with site presence too. Responsibilities and duties: Reporting to the Head of Engineering you will:Leading the technical electrical expertise when it comes to solar PV and/or BESS projectsAssisting with all aspects of electrical designManaging the electrical engineering activities to help with different parts of the business, ie the delivery teams as well as design and salesRepresent the client at internal and external meetings with key stakeholders, being the primary contact for all electrical expertiseLiaise with the DNOs and ICPsUse your electrical engineering knowledge to continually look for optimisation opportunities across different projects, always challenging the status quoLiaise with the international teams to ensure best practices and offer any local market advice to others in the businessConstantly work with the Technical Advisor to ensure all project issues are quickly and effectively rectifiedPrepare documentation (mostly technical and a little commercial), for key stakeholders when requiredBe involved in equipment selection and justification, using your electrical and engineering knowledge to assist in effective decision-makingTravel nationwide to projects for surveys and for live projects upon need (although this is mainly a remote position)Other duties as required and full job spec available on request Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following:BSc or BEng in Electrical EngineeringExperience in the Solar PV and/or BESS sectorExperience with DNO or ICPs is advantageousDesign experience of Solar PV and/or BESS systemsChartered Engineer or working towards this Personal skills: The Electrical Engineering Manager role would suit someone who is:A problem-solver and self-starterDynamic, agile or has an innovative streakVery interested in renewables and the energy transition; we want someone very passionate about the sectorExcellent verbal and written English languageSalary and benefits of the Electrical Engineering Manager role:Up to £80,000 starting salaryPrivate healthcareLife insuranceTravel expensesKPI driven bonusOffice equipment if requiredHow to apply?To apply for this opportunity simply send a copy of your up-to-date CV and covering letter to (url removed) or call (phone number removed) to speak to Tim Norford who can tell you more.
