Electrical Engineer
Primary responsibility will be to provide electrical engineering solutions and services in the field of signal integrity and signal transmission in support of new product development.
Responsibilities
Support, contribute and promote a safe work environment.
Develop technology and processes to ensure designs are technologically competitive.
Technical lead for the development of interconnect solutions.
Provide electrical engineering design direction and solutions to the product development team.
Create electrical FEA models for complex RF transmission line design projects.
Apply principles of electrical engineering as they pertain to connectors, contact technology, and cable design.
Present experimental results and technical reports at group design review meetings as necessary.
Interpret customer specifications and translate them into design and/or manufacturing requirements.
Perform complex processing experiments, and/or lead the projects studies.
Coordinate the construction of functional and non-functional prototypes with internal and external vendors.
Provide technical support to organizational stakeholders (Production, Quality, Marketing, and Sales).
Consult with Sales and Marketing in quoting customer requirements and bid preparation.
Provide electrical engineering technical support and input to the entire organization.
Participate and contribute to team training, development, mentoring, and audits.
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with company policies.
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
BS Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and 2 to 3 years’ experience
Strong working knowledge of transmission line theory and digital signal transmission.
Experience in computer-based finite or boundary element electrical modeling (ANSYS HFSS preferred)
Strong working knowledge of mechanical 3D modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
Familiarity with contact technologies and contact physics theory.
Familiar with ISO 13485, ISO9001, AS9100, and ISO14971
Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis utilizing standard problem-solving tools and methodologies.
FMEA experience a plus.
Familiar with coaxial, fiber optic connectors
Working knowledge of controlled impedance PCB design
Experience in high-frequency RF testing at up to 40 GHz
