Falcon Green have partnered with an international tier 1 contractor that specialises in the delivery of modern-day mission critical and data centre infrastructure across Ireland, the UK and Europe, in their search for a credible Electrical Engineer to join their Data Centre division.





The data centre sector is the fastest growing sector in construction at present, there is no better time to be getting into the sector. This coupled with the increased emphasis that this client has put on their data centre division, makes an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Electrical Engineer to join a market leading contractor.





In terms of experience, someone coming from a data centre background is advantageous however not a necessity. Project delivery ability, proven track record, in depth knowledge and pe management skills are key.





Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:




  • Information reporting will be an essential activity to ensure activity deadlines are met to support the project team.

  • Familiarisation of Design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of the Project works. Overseeing the Co-ordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings by BIM personnel ensuring spec compliance and as per schedule priority.

  • Assisting the Installation Package team to manage the project's quality needs on-site, guiding to ensure we are compliant to all relevant standards/codes and specifications associated.

  • Assessment of Sub-contract and Supplier Tender returns for Technical compliance with design intent specifications.

  • Familiarisation with the Project schedule and ensuring Engineering activities do not impact on same (e.g. Procurement, etc).

  • Management of the technical submittal, approvals

  • Ensure Works are installed in accordance with Project specifications and to the Project QA plan

  • Management of Sub-contractors and ensuring adequate information flow to ensure works progress in line with the Project Schedule and Weekly Meeting logged.

  • Evaluate and promote the use of new engineering practices and processes to enhance the delivery time of the project.

  • Preparing Sub-contract and Supplier Tender Packages in conjunction with Project QS.





Electrical Engineer Background:




  • 5 - 7 experience working with a recognised Electrical contractor

  • Data centre experience essential

  • Excellent organizational and project planning skills

  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Proficient in the use of Navisworks and Database systems related to Engineering functions

  • Familiar with Project /Primavera planning software and CAD/BIM process
