My client based in Ipswich Is looking for an electrical design engineer�

Key Activities:�

  Principal electrical designer on project.�

  
  


• 
  

  Design of safety systems.�

  
  


• 
  

  Detailed design of electrical cabinets.�

  
  


• 
  

  Responsible for originating all electrical drawings.�

  
  


• 
  

  Responsible for originating all pneumatics drawings.�

  
  


• 
  

  Support the build of electrical cabinets.�

  
  


• 
  

  Actively participate in build and run up testing of machines.�

  
  


• 
  

  Support build and commissioning teams with electrical fault diagnosis.�

  
  


• 
  

  Assist controls engineer on commissioning activities.�

  
  


• 
  

  Responsible for electrical safety, electrical risk assessments and standards compliance.�

  
  


• 
  

  Origination of electrical BOMS.�

Skills & Qualifications�

��

• 
  

  Electrical or mechatronic qualification, minimum foundation degree, HNC, HND or degree in an applicable discipline.�

  
  


• 
  

  SolidWorks electrical experience is advantageous.�

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum 5 years experience in designing machine electrical systems from scratch.�

  
  


• 
  

  Understanding of UKCA / CE marking PUWER and machine certification.�

  
  


• 
  

  knowledge of different motor drive technologies such as servo, dc, Stepper and AC motors.�

  
  


• 
  

  IOSH or equivalent health and safety certification advantageous.�

  
  


• 
  

  PUWER accreditation / understanding advantageous.�

  
  


• 
  

  Good general computer skills�

  
  


• 
  

  Strong cause-effect analytical abilities.�

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication skills.�
