Full Job DescriptionElectrical Design Engineer - based Oxford.nReporting to the LeadElectrical Control Engineer you are responsible for design LVdistribution and control systems for bespoke machines which areutilized within a production/manufacturing environment.n' Producesingle line and schematic diagrams using Solidworks electricaln'Provide electrical calculations where appropriaten' Hardware and cableselection from Company system libraryn' Create and maintaindocumentation for project technical filen' Work with mechanical designdepartment to produce panel layouts and wiring routesn' Interpretcustomer supplied technical documentation to devise integrationsolutionsn' PLC program design, implementation and testingn' Designfunctional safety systems (PLC or hardwired)n' Create machine testdocumentation for set-to-work foldern' Contribute to the content ofuser operation manualsn' Electrical fault findingn' Electrical safetytestingn' Provide technical assistance to service engineering teamn'Work within and contribute to the company's ISO9001 quality managementsystemn' Liaise with shop-floor to ensure machines are built toappropriate Company standardsn' Assist in commissioning of machinesn'Any other duties and responsibilities commensurate with theposition.nKnowledge and skills required:n'Relevant technicalqualification in electrical engineering, e.g. Degree/ HNDn'Proventrack record of delivering electrical distribution and control systemsfor special purpose machinery to relevant internationaldirectivesn'Sound knowledge of electrical CAD software, ideallySolidworks electrical, but other packages considered, e.g. AutoCADelectrical, Eplann'PLC programming/coding experience - preferablyAllen Bradleyn'Understanding of EMC requirements and methods tocomplyn'Able to carry out electrical safety testingn' Soundunderstanding of CNC systemsn' Experience of industrial bus systemsand connectivityn' Working knowledge of IEC and UL standardsn' Goodunderstanding of relevant standards for functional safety systemsn'Able to work to project schedules and deadlinesn' Able to adopt ahands-on approach to engineeringn' Able to manage own time effectivelyand engage with multiple departmentsn' Able to work to owninitiativen' Experience of understanding machine applicationsnSkillsn'Great communication skills both face to face and through writtencommunicationn' Good team player, willing to engage with all functionsand across the businessn' Eagerness to learn and developn' Able tostay calm and think logically under pressureJBRP1_UKTJ
