Job DescriptionWe are working with a well-known spirits producer in Edinburgh as they look to appoint an Electrical & Controls Engineering Manager.This role involves providing technical guidance for HV and LV site supplies, network management, SCADA performance, PLC and field installation design & reliability whilst ensuring adequate maintenance plans are in place.Required:Degree qualified in an Electrical Engineering discipline.Familiar with current electrical regulations, codes, and safe working practiceProven experience in leading and managing Control Systems, PLC & HMI programming.An ability to achieve a site-wide understanding of the manufacturing process.Formal Management Qualification and/or several years’ experience of management in a warehousing, FMCG or logistics environment Knowledge of HSE legislationDemonstrable experience in leading, developing, managing, and motivating teams, as well as direct reports. Good interpersonal skillsResponsibilities:Maintain all controls and instrumentation equipment in accordance with Company health and safety requirements, in compliance with current legislation whilst maintaining a safe working environment for employees.Maintaining an awareness of the regulatory and Company standards that apply to the role such as HMRC, COMAH and H&S. COMAH specific - Understand and act as Mechanical & Electrical Support (Maintenance Representative where required) in the event of an evacuation or major incident, and regularly participate in COMAH improvement activity. Electrical & Control Engineering Manager is also part of the Site Emergency Response rota.Deliver third party support through service contracts and contractors with managed vendor performance.Develop data management to improve accessibility to internal and external control systems.Analyse technology, resource requirements, and market demands to plan and assess the feasibility of controls projects.Provide project support to the major site initiatives and manage minor projects within your area of accountability and responsibility.Line management responsibility for Electricians and Engineers, monitoring progress through annual Performance Focus Reviews, daily target reviews, supporting training development, creating succession plans as appropriate and taking corrective action where required.On Offer:£65,000 - £70,000Up to a 9% BonusMonday – Friday 15% Employer Pension contribution Private health care- individual and family cover34 days annual leaveIf you are interested in hearing more about it this position, please apply with your most recent CV or contact Iain Shanley for more information about the role.
