Russell Taylor is working with a well-established energy consultant company based in the Cheshire region who have both Senior and Principal Electrical Consultants available (with a forensic focus) to join a forward-thinking company where welfare is at the forefront of priorities. The ideal candidate could be anywhere from someone starting their career or an experienced professional looking to take the next step up. You will be delivering forensic and failure investigations of power systems in particular switchgear and cable systems. There will be both office-based projects and practical laboratory work.
The Role:
Project manage Electrical Power Cable Systems (LV / MV / HV) which determine the root cause of issues / failures; following up with practical reports to reduce future incidents.
Strip down power plant systems.
Project delivery- planning, evidence collation, reporting, project clean up and closure.
Provide technical advice to the team
Provide expert opinions across the Forensics division.
Build and develop relationships with customers within the industry; take lead with identifying new business opportunities.
Typical investigations:
Analysis of compliance (BS / IEC Standards)
Assessment of polymeric cable dielectrics (Voids, ...
