Adecco Engineering are seeking an Experienced Electrical and Controls Engineering Manager to join our client's organisation on a permanent basis, at their site in the Edinburgh Area.

This is your opportunity to be part of an established organisation in a sought-after industry within the FMCG sector. Applicants should be degree qualified (or equivalent) in an Electrical Engineering Discipline and ideally will have gained experience as a direct line manager within FMCG, Warehousing or Logistics Environment.

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will lead and support the electrical team ensuring H&S compliance is met and deliver plans within budgets set.

We are looking for an accomplished People Manager who can competently provide Technical Direction for the following: Maintenance Plans, Scheduled Shutdowns, Network Management, SCADA performance, PLC/Field installation design/reliability, guidance relating to HV & LV site supplies.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure all controls and instrumentation equipment are maintained in accordance with Company health and safety and comply with current legislation.
Analyse control processes and philosophies and identify development opportunities.
Assume the position of key contact for manufacturing relating to electrical and controls updates and changes.
Deliver third party support through service contracts and contractors with managed vendor performance.
Develop data management to improve accessibility to internal and external control systems.
Analyse resource, technology requirements, market demands to plan and assess the feasibility of controls projects.
Support, measure and develop Electricians and Engineers, monitor their progress, carry out performance reviews, setting targets, ensuring the provision of any relevant training/development.
Support site initiatives.
Make sure industry standards (ACOPS and best practice) are adopted in the processes.
Ensure regulatory and Company standards are adhered.
Support COMAH improvements.
Participate in Site Emergency Response rota.
Candidate Skills and Experience

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
Knowledge of electrical regulations, codes and safe working practice
Experience Control Systems, PLC & HMI programming
Competent with manufacturing processes
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation - COMAH site experience (desirable)
Formal Management Qualification - preferred.
First Class interpersonal skills - with track record of leading developing teams.
