Environmental/Compliance,
and coordinates with business partners for EH&S concerns regarding facilities and employee practices. Other responsibilities include organizing and maintaining EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations and will manage relationships across other functions and departments to achieve and maintain compliance with EH&S regulations and RTX requirements.Primary Responsibilities:Apply knowledge of the EH&S disciplines to provide advice, support, and technical guidance on moderate to complex issues.Leading the site Occupational Health program, Worker’s Compensation activities, the return-to-work program, safety sensitive and FAA-required drug testing, and Industrial Hygiene monitoring.Coordinate and conduct EH&S audits and inspections and assist line management in creating action plans to implement the necessary improvements.Identify opportunities eliminate and control hazards to prevent injuries and illness and improve site safety culture. Develop and provide EH&S training as required by legislation or Collins/RTX requirements.Support the EH&S Management Committee to implement the RTX EH&S Management System.Maintain records, reports, statistics, and other data relevant to EH&S performance.As needed, participate in regulatory inspections, and provide appropriate documents and records.Explain and interpret EH&S regulations to achieve and maintain understanding.Leverage continuous improvement processes and tools to improve EH&S performance.Participate in or lead incident investigations.Adhere to the RTX Code of Conduct.Perform other duties as required.Basic Qualifications:prior relevant experience in a similar fieldAppropriate professional qualification at a minimum NEBOSH General CertificateEnvironmental qualification or equivalentEssentialKnowledge and experience of working within the parameters ISO14001 and ISO45001Detailed knowledge of UK Statutory regulation concerning Environment, Health and SafetyWorking knowledge of General and Hazardous waste hierarchyGood understanding of COSHH and all associated requirementsPrevious experience in relation to Health and Safety Training and creation of content, ensuring audit ready at all timesRelevant experience in a
manufacturing/engineering
environmentProficient at report writing, creating and presenting presentations using Microsoft office tools (in particular: Excel, Word and PowerPoint)Influencing and negotiating skills.Project management experienceHigh level of initiative and committed to meeting goalsMember of a relevant recognized industry professional body (e.g. IOSH, IEMA, IIRSM) or working towardsand analytical skillsClosing Date: 17/0#####24 RTX is An Equal
