Teaching Personnel has been approached by a Primary school who are committed to providing outstanding opportunities for all our students to enable them to become the best that they can be. They do this by providing excellent teaching and support and an inspiring curriculum enriched by latest technology. This enables students to overcome a diverse array of learning difficulties and additional challenges, to grow in confidence and to become successful, caring young people prepared to move into adulthood.The school are looking to appoint a suitably enthusiastic and experienced support Education Health Care Assistant to support education, health, medical, physical and general care needs following agreed Education and Health care plans. This will include attending to pupils’ personal needs including toileting, hygiene, dressing and feeding and physically assisting pupils in activities. (This may involve hoisting/lifting where mobility is an issue).Duties include:
Communicating work set by the class teacher to the pupilsSupervising completion of the work/activities – encouraging engagement and involvementSupporting children and tailoring your approach to their needsProviding a consistent and nurturing approachPromoting positive pupil behaviour and conductOpen to potentially providing personal careReporting any issues and/or concerns that arise
All staff will demonstrate those philosophies which characterise effective schools – a commitment to education, to the needs and rights of all pupils and to the development of the school’s community, with strong, mutually supportive relationships with parents, partner schools and the broader community. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
