Education Operations Advisor

Permanent, Full Time

Up to £30,958 per annum

Location: Chelmsford

The Education Operations Advisor will support service and business operations across the four Education Quadrants, working collaboratively with stakeholders and key leaders to support all aspects of service operations and enable efficient service delivery and the meeting of operational team requirements.

The role offers the opportunity, working closely with the Education Directors and the wider team to support development, innovation and growth in our services.

The ability to build strong working relationships which are collaborative in nature, both across the organisation and externally are essential. The role will support several key projects or priorities within Education, so excellent organisational and communication skills are key, along with the ability to work proactively and with initiative to fully support the business needs.

Accountabilities

  • Lead on the review of current work practices, procedures and controls to make improvements across Education and support the implementation of operational work plans to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Working collaboratively with Directors within the Education team, to support the business needs to achieve high quality impact and positive outcomes.
  • Provide support for analysis, reporting and action on key projects to ensure high quality monitoring and support early identification of any potential issues.
  • Provide tools that identify need, for the use of Directors, to develop organisational capability and support and improve service delivery.
  • Support the operational delivery of the service to ensure the success of the wider education team as an outcome focussed service.
  • Provide support for sustaining and developing relationships with stakeholders within Essex and beyond, to ensure timely communication and responses for key work streams.
  • Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework.

The Experience You Will Bring

  • Educated to RQF level 3 ('A' level) or equivalent by experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and knowledge in relevant professional area.
  • Demonstrable understanding of business operations and evidence of successful collaborative working with partners.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with demonstrable interpersonal and negotiating skills and experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills: the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • High level of IT and digital expertise in order to fully support the needs of the directorate.
  • Experience of effective working within a team environment and liaising with a wide range of contacts in a professional manner.

Please note that the job role requires you to be mobile throughout an operational area. Therefore, the post holder will need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means.
