Pay Rate: £112.63  - £140.88 per day

Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm. Initial contract is 3  months.

Main Duties of the Education Health Care Plan Assistant:


  • Provide comprehensive assistance to the EHC Plan Coordinators, maintaining precise, efficient, and productive administrative systems and records.
  • Offer effective administrative support to facilitate the initiation, assessment, and review processes for children with Special Educational Needs, ensuring compliance with statutory and locally established procedures.
  • Promote a person-centred, outcome-oriented multi-agency approach to assessment, planning, and review, ensuring equal partnership among children, young people, and parents throughout the process.
  • Guide educational settings and parents toward appropriate provision at the SEN Support level, directing them to the Local Offer for additional information on available services.
  • Assist educational settings and parents in furnishing the necessary information in the event of an EHC needs assessment request.

Requirements of the Education Health Care Plan Assistant:


  • Minimum of 2 years in a comparable role
  • Possession of a current DBS check.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license, enabling independent commuting to and from work.
