TheAssociate Delegate Relations Manageris expected to advise customers on the range and suitability of theevents and courses that we runacrossseveralindustries, and on any additional services offered, drawing on the experience and expertise of the business development and technical staff where required. Anysales made mustreflect the training needs of the customer, but alsoconsiderfully the overall business strategy, with the aim of maximisinglong-termrevenue. An additional key part of the role is to identifycross selling opportunities, understanding the client's needs and providing them with information aboutliveand future events in their relevant portfolio.As well as ensuring strong relationships are built and maintained with new and existing clients through excellent customer services and account management.
This role operates under hybrid/balanced working - with a 3 day in office expectation.
Youwill report tothe Head of Sales of the portfolio you work in, but close liaison with other members of theInforma ConnectProduction,Sales and Marketing teams is also required to ensure that all sales activity accurately reflect the needs of theevents and training as well asthe wider portfoliothat Informa Connect offer.
This role is ideally suited to a resourceful, proactive individual with exceptional organisational skills.
The opportunity for progression in this role is endless, with promotions available in sponsorship, production or management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To make at least 100 calls a day to contact clients and prospects - this is primarily a telephone-based role
Generate revenue byselling onlarge scale events, specialised conferences andtraining courses
Identify opportunitiesto cross sell our whole portfolio ofevents, whether that beFinance, Life Sciences, Maritime, Marketing, Legal & Tax, Energy & Agra and more. Follow link to see full offering:
Provide support, where needed, to ensure revenue is collected on sales that are made
Supply detailed feedback to divisional managers and other departments on the progress of each event and sales campaign
Identify and benchmark against competitive events
Contribute to new lead generation activities using all available resources
Following up all leads in a prompt and pro-active manner
Ensure consistence of any sales/marketing information (keeping customersapprisedof current prices, discounts (if any), target audience, priorities, resource availability etc.)
Consult closely with both the widerInforma Connectteams and theeventteamto ensure sales activities are conducted in the most efficient manner, and itisa way that is aligned with the wider business
Additional duties as needed in support of the overall business and as the need arises
Qualifications
This role requireshybrid working, with a 3 day in office minimum.
Occasional travel in the UK, Europe or World-wide to attend conferences may be needed in support of sales/marketing activity.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and will have proved themselves to be an excellent communicator who can identify a customer's needs, delivering a high level of customer service whilst maximising the sales opportunity.Direct sales experience is not essential, but it is a basic requirement that the successful candidate will have good numerical and IT skills.
Enthusiasm, drive and great communication skills are essential. Commercially astute and competitive, the successful candidate should be someone who demonstrates leadership qualities through their performance and their attitude.
