This includes:economic and social researchfeasibility studies and business casesstrategies for places and sectorsevaluations of programmes and policies.As part of this role, you will:undertake research to advise clients on options, risks and appropriate actionsconduct stakeholder engagement, through structured interviews, facilitated workshops, and surveysdevelop strategies toguide investmentswrite concise and insightful reportsprepare proposals and contribute to our work winning activitiestrack and understand relevant developments in local/regional policy and fundingSkills and experienceWe are keen to meet candidates from a range of backgrounds and with different levels of experience.As the ideal candidate, you would have:a university degreeexperience of working as an external consultant to public and private sector clientsexperience of bid writing and business developmentcompetencies in both quantitative and qualitative researchability to analyse problems, find data and source information to quickly develop an understanding of new areasexcellent report writing skills, with an ability to clearly summarise findings and offer meaningful insightsexcellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver engaging presentations.About Urban ForesightUrban Foresight is the UK’s leading place-based innovation consultancy.
