Job Summary
A Growth Account Strategist is the day to day client account owner that takes responsibility for making sure that agreed growth tasks are delivered on time and to the exacting specification required to fulfil their particular requirement / merchant brief.
A Growth Account Strategist will own a number of BAO’s retained Growth Programme merchants and build strong, value based relationships with key stakeholders of those merchants.
A Growth Account Strategist works with the roadmap creator (Head of Growth / Head of Merchant Strategy / Merchant Strategist) to understand task requirements and is then responsible for liaising with the internal BAO team to scope, progress, and deliver final outcomes.
Who we’re looking for
The BAO Growth Team works alongside some of the fastest growing and most ambitious brands in the Shopify eco-system. Operating as an extension of internal resource, our Growth Team works with businesses to find solutions whatever their challenges. We guide strategic direction, implement development roadmaps and oversee them through production to market.
The Account Strategists role sits within this rapidly expanding team, working alongside our Senior Team to contribute to the smooth running of the Growth team, by taking responsibility for the delivery of growth roadmaps.
The Account Strategist should be able to manage feedback loops with clients, and understand where further solutions scoping may be needed in order to deliver the best outcome for the merchant. Additionally, the Account Strategist will ensure agency resources are allocated appropriately, based on requirements detailed within the merchants growth roadmap.
Skills / Experience
We’re looking for a set of skills that are common to the majority of our projects:
Hands-on technical experience with an e-Commerce platform - Shopify, Magento, Big Commerce etc
A minimum of 2 years experience working on active eCommerce (in-house or in an agency)
Strong technology generalist with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
Experienced communicator who understands how to cultivate and nurture client relations
Highly organised, capable of multi-tasking and managing requests from different clients simultaneously
Example of previous roles - eCommerce Manager, eCommerce Executive, Project Manager, Digital Account Manager.
Bonus Points for:
Working directly with the Shopify / Shopify Plus platform and partners within the ecosystem
Understanding of analytics tools such as Google Analytics with the ability to translate data into meaningful insights
Experienced in managing development roadmaps, and an understanding of end-to-end strategies
