Early Years Class Teacher and Phase Leader - Portsmouth

Hours - 8am – 3.30PM

Pay – MPS/UPS – 130-£250

Location - Portsmouth

Long-Term Full-time with the potential to become permanent

About the School:

Supply Desk are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Portsmouth who wish to appoint a committed and ambitious Early Years teacher as a part of their excellent team. This role is full time and temporary with a view for the right candidate to turn permanent.

About the role:

The role will be full time covering all areas with time allowed for planning and marking. The school are looking for someone with excellent subject knowledge for all areas, good classroom management and a really positive approach to teaching and building relationships. We are happy to accept applications from ECTs.

Early Years Teacher Requirements:

-          Have proven experience of positively impacting on children’s’ progress and achievement in the EYFS

-          Passion for children’s development in education.

-          Early Years or Primary QTS.

-          DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply.

-          Positive classroom management skills.

-          Excellent knowledge of the EYFS Profile and Development Matters Framework.

-          Be able to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team.

Your role as an Early Years Teacher is to deliver a creative and exciting curriculum, which stimulates and builds upon children’s interests. The principles of the EYFS curriculum support your teaching and learning opportunities and classroom environment, to develop children’s early Literacy and Mathematics skills and secure a foundation to lifelong learning.
