Early Years Teaching Assistant (Reception)

SANZA Teaching Agency are currently searching for a teaching assistant to work in the Early Years Foundation Stage (reception). The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the teaching and learning of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The role will also include 2 hours per week as a general teaching assistant in year 5, and 2 hours per week as a welfare assistant.

• ASAP start (or after Easter holidays- 15th April)
• Full- time, long-term
• Contract will be until end of July initially, with the vision/option for extension/permenancy from September
• The school has great transport links and has on-site parking

Requirements of the role..

As a teaching assistant in reception, you will be responsible for..

• Assisting the class teacher in preparing and delivering lessons in the EYFS
• Supporting children with their learning and development in the EYFS
• Providing feedback to the class teacher on children's progress
• Preparing learning resources and materials
• Working with children on a 1:1 and small group basis

About you...

• Must hold Cache Level 3 in Early Years or BA Early Childhood degree
• Experience working in a primary school, preferably in the EYFS (nursery or reception_
• A good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Fun and engaging
• Flexible and adaptable
