17.04.2024 Full Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPlease be awarethis is a Long Term Temporary post to start ASAP.Weare seeking 2 x funding officers to join our Early Start and FamiliesServices at Barnsley MBC to ensure the smooth operation of our earlyyears funding provider payments system. The role will involve workingas a part of a team to deliver the efficient processing of early yearsfunding payments to providers. This will include working with ourinternal colleagues and providers to support with use of the systemand any queries.Responsibilities•Assist in the development and operation of policies and proceduresrelating to the management of early years entitlements fundingincluding payment portal.• Provide professional advice andguidance to a wide range of audiences including internal and externalagencies. This includes advice to be provided in writing and throughtraining sessions.• Assist in the interpretation oflegislation and the implementation of appropriate procedures andpolicies and comply with local and national reporting requirementssuch as completing census reporting.• Processing ofpayments on the portal in line with the council’s financialprocedures.• Assist in the undertaking of audits of claimssubmitted by Private, Voluntary and Independent providers.•Assist ensuring that all processes are clearly documented. • Assist inthe planning, organisation and submission to deadlines, statutory andnon-statutory government returns as required.• Undertakeany other duties commensurate with the grade as requested bymanagement.You must have:Postqualified experience.Enhanced DBS/Update service.References required for the last 5 years of employment.Benefits of working with Semester.co.uk :Freeon-going training opportunities upon registering as part of ourcommitment to you.Competitive Rates of payInhouse payroll, providing weekly payments and supportEnhanced DBS completed.Support and expert advice from anapproachable, dedicated and friendly teamAn assigneddedicated & experienced consultantVarious employmentopportunities in your preferred geographical area
