Introduction
My client is working closely with clients on Air Traffic Management services and they are looking for a Solutions Architect with a strong telecoms and networks background to work on a pre and post-sales architectural design.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing Service Provider Networks and Enterprise Networks.
This is a hybrid role with around 3 days per week required onsite. Depending on project requirements, you may be required onsite more frequently as well as visit client sites.
Key responsibilities
Working on pre- and post-sales architectural design of networks.
Designing Service Provider and Enterprise Networks and own the architecture across the whole lifecycle.
Engage with the customer, stakeholders and key partners in providing end to end architecture governance.
Develop and own enterprise architecture artefacts, strategies and roadmaps including 'as-is', 'to-be' and transitional states addressing key stakeholder viewpoints and requirements.
Respond to complex in-contract customer Request for Information, Contract Change Notification, Solution Design Proposal and Winning New Business Bids.
Provide clear solution design requirements, derived from the customer's vision and requirements.
Provide and own architecture deliverable outcomes such as POC, bids (PQQ, ITT), high level design.
Provide solution architecture expertise to the Defence Assurance Board before integration of complex change to a domain or service(s).
Establishing, qualifying, and documenting the solution's CAPEX/OPEX costs.
Skills & experience
Experience with pre-sales and post-sales design and architecture.
Service provider networks (WAN, DWDN, SDH, OTN, transmission circuits).
Enterprise networks (IP L1-L7).
Experience with ICT vendor technologies, solutions, and products (Nokia, Cisco, Juniper).
Experience with industry architecture methodologies & languages (TOGAF, ArchiMate, ITIL, BPMN).
Experience with enterprise architecture toolsets (such as iServer, IBM Doors).
Preferably an understanding of aeronautical air-to-ground telecommunication and information systems (Voice/Radar).
