Job DescriptionJob Title: DV Cleared Software Engineer (Elastic Stack)Type: ContractSalary: £700 - £800 per dayStance: Outside IR35Location: Cheltenham, UKClearance: DV Cleared*Note: Please only apply if you currently hold active UKSV or UKIC DV Clearance.*We're recruiting multiple DV Cleared Software Engineers with strong experience of the Elastic Stack to work on a range of close-to-the-mission projects.What you will be doing:Working closely with the engineering, product management, and support teamsSolution design, development, and integration of Elastic products and APIs, platform architecture, and capacity planning in mission-critical environmentsData modeling, query development and optimisation, cluster tuning, and scaling with a focus on fast search and analytics at scaleSkills required:Hands-on experience and an understanding of Elasticsearch and/or LuceneExperience as a Software Engineer, System Administrator or DevOps EngineerMinimum of 5 years of experience working as a Consultant, working to deliver and execute professional services engagementsHands-on experience with large distributed systems from an architecture and development perspectiveUnderstanding of open-source technology and knowledge and proficiency in at least one programming languageUnderstanding of Linux, Java, and databasesDesirable skills:Deep understanding of Elasticsearch and/or Lucence, including Elastic Certified Engineer certificationStrong knowledge of Java and Linux/Unix environment, software development, and/or experience with distributed systemsMS or PhD in Computer Science or related engineering disciplineExperience contributing to an open-source project or documentationTo be considered please apply directly with an up-to-date copy of your CV, or contact me lewis.hayward @ searchability.com
