The positionBy joining our team in Projects, Drilling & Procurement you will have the opportunity to:
Have responsibility for the operations being planned, coordinated and implemented on the drilling unit, so that health, safety, quality, the outer environment and the working environment are taken care of in accordance with Equinor governing documentation, goals and strategies, and the requirements of the authorities.
Ensure quality and risk management for personnel, equipment and services.
Oversee planned activities, procedures and maintenance including conducting safety inspections and taking care of Equinor's responsibility for the drilling unit's maintenance.
Utilise the expertise that the drilling contractor and service companies can provide on the drilling unit, and through collaboration and daily meetings ensure that all involved are coordinated regarding safety and operations.
Be responsible for reporting on the operations of the drilling unit: propose improvements, share experiences and report non-conformities.
Be part of the emergency organization at the rig site, in accordance with Equinor's emergency procedures.
Be part of a shift rotation which is currently 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off.

For this position, we are also looking for:
A relevant Bachelor’s engineering degree; alternative education at a similar level will also be considered.
Strong experience in drilling and well related work, including experience of working on a rig site in a supervisory or leadership position.
A team player with good leadership skills and the ability to motivate employees.
An IWCF approved well control certificate for drilling operations (level 4) is required.
A good knowledge of IT and reporting tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Fluent English skills, both written and verbal.
Experience within workover and intervention operations would be an advantage.
