Draughtsman

Hill & Hill are currently recruiting for a leading Industrial Roofing and Cladding contractor based in Weymouth, Dorset.�

They are in need of a�draughtsman specialising in industrial roofing and cladding. Responsible for creating technical drawings, plans, and designs for industrial buildings. They will work closely with architects, engineers, and construction workers to ensure that the roofing and cladding systems are designed and installed according to specifications.

Key responsibilities:�

1. 
   

   Creating detailed drawings and plans for industrial roofing and cladding systems, including layouts, dimensions, and materials specifications.

   
   


2. 
   

   Collaborating with clients, architects, and engineers to understand project requirements and design objectives.

   
   


3. 
   

   Conducting site visits to assess existing building conditions and gather necessary information for accurate drawings.

   
   


4. 
   

   Coordinating with construction teams to ensure that roofing and cladding systems are installed correctly and according to design specifications.

   
   


5. 
   

   Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify drawings, as well as generate 3D models of roofing and cladding systems.

   
   


6. 
   

   Staying current on industry trends, building codes, and regulations related to industrial roofing and cladding.

   
   


7. 
   

   Providing technical guidance and support to construction teams during the installation and assembly of roofing and cladding systems.

   
   


8. 
   

   Performing quality control inspections to verify that roofing and cladding systems meet design standards and client expectations.

   
   

Qualifications:�

1. 
   

   Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field.

   
   


2. 
   

   Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD or Revit.

   
   


3. 
   

   Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings and plans.

   
   


4. 
   

   Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to industrial roofing and cladding.

   
   


5. 
   

   Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and construction teams.

   
   


6. 
   

   Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

   
   


7. 
   

   Experience working in the construction or architecture industry, with a focus on industrial roofing and cladding systems.
