Dispatch/Operations Manager

Our client a moving specialist based in the Woodbridge, VA area is seeking an experienced moving operations manager to join them.
Responsibilities:
Manage acceptance and registration of new shipments
Assist with dispatch of crews for each job for each day and ensure workload is at its peak; this includes helping with driver assignments as well as collaborating with corporate to ensure that all shipments are assigned and picked up.
Manage OTR and Local drivers, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, qualifying, disciplining, and terminating
Help with weekly payroll input and documentation
Weekly fuel log inspections
Assist with warehouse operations, ensuring the building is neat, orderly and up to code for RSMO and fire inspections.
Make sure the logs are up to date and legal.
Experience Required:
Moving operations management background, dealing with residential, military and commercial moves
Transportation and logistics industry knowledge
Exceptional IT skills
