As part of their growth strategy, we are assisting them in recruiting a talented Dispatch Manager to oversee their dispatch operations.

Position Overview:

As the Dispatch Manager, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the dispatch department. Your role will involve leading a team to ensure timely deliveries while upholding quality standards and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong focus on optimizing processes to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the dispatch team, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.


• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams to streamline operations.


• Plan and schedule dispatch activities to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.


• Monitor inventory levels and liaise with production to ensure sufficient stock availability.


• Oversee order picking, packing, and loading processes, maintaining quality control measures.


• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols in the dispatch area.


• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and performance metrics.


• Identify areas for process improvement and cost-saving opportunities.


• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing or distribution industry.


• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.


• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.


• Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office applications.


• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and transportation.


• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.


• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
