Parramatta, Bankstown, Liverpool, Ryde, Miranda, Penrith Districts in NSWBloomfield Care ServicesDisability Support Worker (Community Services)Casual/Part-Time/Full-TimeBloomfield Care Services delivers an exceptional level of service to NDIS participants and we are seeking fun loving individuals to join our team and be involved in our community of NDIS participants and to assist them in thriving to achieve their goals.We invite you to apply to be a part of our passionate team if you believe you have the attributes.Daily Tasks include (but are not limited to):Administer or assist participants with medications in accordance with their medication chart and care plan.Support participants to develop and maintain independence and safety in personal care, and health and hygiene such as eating, dressing, toileting, and showeringDeveloping and implementing programs with the participant to grow their living skills and abilities so they are more able to make decisions affecting their lives, live as independently as possible and participate in the communitySupport our participants with skill sets to improve living within the community.Utilise internal personal support plans for participants who demonstrate challenging behaviors and/or with high physical support needs and complex mental health issues.All tasks to be completed in the participants’ residence.A few more things which will assist you in delivering the above tasks:Cert III, IV in Disability or Individual Support requiredExperience with mental health, complex and challenging behaviours, and high physical support needs will be highly regarded.A current Australian Driver’s Licence and vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).Manual Handling training and certificate.The ability to develop positive relationships with our clients and to support their individual care plans.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Additional training will be provided for successful applicants.Team Leader positions are also available in this role.Hours of Work:Hours are flexible in accordance with NDIS participants’ plans, however if you are a fantastic support worker we will certainly accommodate multiple shifts to fill your roster.Locations:Parramatta, Bankstown, Chipping Norton, Meadowbank, Ermington, Liverpool, Ryde.We look forward to hearing from you and be sure to include a description of your intentions for applying for this position and your future career goals as we may have the opportunity awaiting for you with Bloomfield Care Services as we continue to grow within our communities.Your application will include the following questions:Do you have prior experience as a disability support worker?Do you have a current Australian driver’s licence?Do you have a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) for employment?Have you completed a qualification in disability?Do you have a current manual handling certificate?
