We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced entrepreneur to join the C-suite managerial team at Concrete4Change.

Remuneration:
£60,000- £90000 per annum and share options: up to 1% (£125,000)

Job description:
As the COO, you have an entrepreneurial mindset and will act as a deputy to the Chief Executive to oversee and manage the efficiency of our operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of researchers to deliver high-quality technology solutions, HR management, laboratory, equipment and office management.
Please consider this position is designed for an entrepreneur and is not a 9-5 job.
Person’s specifications
Essential:
B.Sc. in STEM
Extensive experience in day-to-day operations of the business, , legal, fundraising, marketing, manufacturing, accounting, IT and other departments
Experience in human resources, hiring, coaching, and performance management.
in hiring, coaching, and performance management.
project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
in business planning, data analysis
ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and investors.
to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
Desirable:
in chemistry, construction or material chemistry.
and deep understanding of characterisation methodology development of complex systems of organic and inorganic materials including polymers, and solid adsorbents
experience in the field of carbon capture, chemistry or construction.
of laboratory setup, HSE requirements, experience in equipment specification development and procurement
of funding mechanisms, grant applications, and collaboration opportunities within the R&D sector.
of working in deep tech start-ups is highly desirable
or founder experience at a VC backed startup is highly desirable
than 5 years of experience in executive leadership roles or start-up C-Suite management.
