This is an excitingopportunity to make a real difference to the future of the countryside in the Garden ofEngland.CPRE, the Countryside Charity, was founded almost 100 years ago with the aims of the‘conservation of what is beautiful and interesting in our countryside and towns andvillages; and the encouragement of the right type of development’. Today these words arejust as relevant as when they were written in the 1920s and we campaign for good planning,protection from inappropriate development and the enhancement of nature and a thriving, healthycountryside.CPRE Kent is an independent charity, federated with more than 40 CPRE county branches and thenational CPRE organisation, giving us local, regional and national reach. The Director willwork with our trustees, staff and network of volunteers to formulate local strategy, run localcampaigns and liaise with national CPRE.We are looking for an exceptional individual who can work with and motivate volunteers, take astrategic view on issues affecting Kent’s countryside and represent CPRE Kent at County andNational forums and via social, local and national media. The role also involves management ofthe staff team.We are looking to fill a full-time post at a salary of circa £55k per annum.
