The Role:
The Senior Director of Operations will play a key role in aligning multiple commercial functions to optimize sales and delivery performance and enhance commercial performance across Ekco. This role will involve crafting and executing a strategic growth plan, fostering data-driven decision-making, and driving cross-functional alignment. This role can be based anywhere in the UK, however, regular travel to our offices in Milton Keynes and Moorgate is required to fulfill all duties of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a key executive in our UK business, reporting to the UK Chief Executive Officer, and a peer to key Go To Market and delivery leaders.
Collaborate and coordinate planning initiatives across various functions and stakeholders within the company.
Identify opportunities for enhancing operational processes proactively, striving for continuous improvement.
Management Reporting - Develop and publish a suite of periodic reports based on the other areas of responsibility of Operations. This reporting should be a combination of real-time along with periodic to provide the Leadership Team with quicker insight into the performance of the business.
Monitor and facilitate the accurate and efficient distribution of crucial sales, financial, and operational reports, and intelligence essential for sales operations.
Power-user of sales reporting tools - responsible for the capture, analysis, and presentation of all sales leads, opportunities, bookings, etc. across Ekco UK.
Support the consistent, widespread use of the relevant tooling amongst sales team members and relevant sales-adjacent team members.
Revenue Forecasting - Collaborate with Ekco Finance to support consistent, accurate revenue forecasting. Develop three-month revenue forecasting process based on current and future practice management tools. Assess accuracy and enhancement opportunities to drive additional accuracy in forecasts and reduce variances.
Operation of utilization measurements and enhancements - Expand existing practice management capabilities to support the more efficient use of delivery staff to enhance delivery margins and reduce unutilized time. Use of operational measures to drive incentive planning and reward.
Resource Mentoring - Support the growth of operations-aligned resources in Ekco to drive shared, efficient practices, personal growth of team members, etc.
Operation of practice management tools - Support the use of practice management tooling such as timesheets, resource management, forecasting tools across the business.
Champion a culture of ongoing process improvement, driving organizational evolution.
Design incentive plans that align with budgets, strategies, and performance data capture against targets, ensuring effective payment execution.
Lead and support the consistent implementation of key company initiatives.
Cross-Group Collaboration - collaborate with leaders across Ekco to enhance operations across the areas of responsibility outlined above. Support a mutual-value approach to collaboration to ensure positive adoption of updated ways of working.
Key Requirements:
Significant experience in operations within B2B tech environments (Cloud & Security Services) particularly in finance or sales operations.
Proficiency in MSP commercial models, CRM systems, Subscription operations, and KPIs.
Proficiency in using business intelligence tools to create visually impactful dashboards and reports for key stakeholders.
Experience in developing accurate forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and input from relevant teams.
Ability to negotiate, facilitate, and influence, forging consensus around credible solutions.
Ability to balance operational details with strategic outcomes.
Strong collaboration skills within a matrix structure with a mix of centralized and decentralized functions.
Excellent communications, leadership, and interpersonal skills (at all levels of the organization).
Self-starter and well-motivated to deliver in a highly-pressurized environment.
Excellent presentation skills with a high level of attention to detail.
