Boku is a truly global company that takes pride in its diversity and thriving equal opportunity workplace.Location:Leicester Square, London - Flexible office days (2 days per week)Overall responsibility:Support Financial Controller in the preparation of the monthly, half yearly and yearly accounts for the management team, Board and external investors as well as day to day support of accounting duties.Key tasks:Build and oversee revenue assurance and accounting team.Build effective controls across finance and help maintain them.Oversee merchant accounting for the Group, review journals and reconciliations made by other members of the team.Review and analyse contracts and document significant terms and accounting conclusions.Provide revenue recognition guidance to cross-functional organizations.Establish robust process for new connections with emphasis on revenue assurance.Help build interfaces between Finance and back-office systems.Automate the revenue feeds into the finance ERP system.Responsible for supporting the Technical Revenue Accounting (TRA) function for the company which includes accounting guidance for all agreements in line with relevant accounting standards.Assist in data gathering to support internal and external audits at both half year and year end.Assist with defining and creating operating procedures and participating in business process improvement initiatives related to revenue accounting activities.Support the monthly and quarterly accounting close cycles by verifying and posting of entries made by other team members.Business partnering across the company, working with the Commercial, Product and Engineering teams, as well as other finance functions.Maintain a high level of accuracy whilst meeting critical timelinesSupport the Financial Controller and VP Finance with ad hoc projects and ongoing improvements in the control and reporting processes.The individual:Ideally the individual will be around 8 years post qualified (either ACCA, CIMA or ACA)Experience of working in complex finance structure, number of entities and currenciesStrong attention to detailDriven and self starterStrong excel skills and experience of accounting systemsGood problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge and add valueProactive individual able to work as part of a team or on their ownAbility to deliver to tight deadlines, prioritising and managing workloadA strong team player accustomed to operating in a professional but friendly environmentQualificationsStrong academic background, including a university degree (preferably in a business/accountancy related subject) with a final 2:1 grade or above.Member of a professional body such as ACCA, CIMA or ACABenefits:Unlimited holidayOffice closure between Christmas and New YearPrivate HealthcareEnhanced PensionFlexible working structure (office days)Equity SchemesAnd many more benefits!
