Director - Real Estate Credit Risk (Development Finance)

What they need:10+ years of UK real estate credit risk experience (gained at a bank or a debt fund) with at least the last 5 years spent in development finance. A more detailed job specification:Review, challenge, and sign off on all key underwriting reports e.g. valuation reports and Reports on Title. Work with deal teams to ensure that materials are reviewed in a timely manner reflecting deal and business priorities.Review and sign-off on loan and security documents, ensuring compliance with funding programme rules.Undertake second level checks on underwriting calculations and credit materials submitted for approval.Track due diligence findings, review final sign-off memos, and recommend to credit committee.Ensure loan milestones are set up in internal systems and are tracked effectively.Recommend increase and extension requests to credit committee and funding partner investment committee.Be first responder on credit amendments and sales approvals.Own underwriting policy and ensure it is always up to date, working with the technology team and project office to ensure system development keeps in line with policy and procedures.Support with loan specific input on funding programme reporting and any waivers required.Input into the continuous refinement of underwriting models, credit and underwriting policy documents and portfolio stress test.
